Vonnies Blues and R&B

This year Vonnies Blues and R&B club have nominated Cheltenham Samaritans as their charity. The chair of Cheltenham Samaritans, Valerie Nicoll, received a cheque for £5,500 when she visited the club on Wednesday, 11 November. On behalf of Cheltenham Samaritans Valerie expressed her gratitude to Dave Jones and the members for the generosity.

The lead act Catfish Keith, who is currently on tour from the USA, was greatly appreciated by those present.

Dave Jones, who has been running Vonnies at the Institute in Charlton Kings for the last six years, developed the idea of having frontline Blues musicians playing and, at the same time, raising money for local charities.
